Russian History
The history of the country starts with Slavs. There is little knowledge about the time before the Kiril alphabet is invented in 864. The Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic was created a fully independent country as Russian Federation. The capital is Moscow, official language is Russian, currency is Russian Ruble. The country is consist of mostly Muslims and Russian Orthodox. Also, Russia has very tough winters because of the reason that the counrty is really close to Siberia.
Borders & Neighbours
There are a large number of the country's borderneighbours. These are: in the southwest Ukraine, Sout Azerbaijan, China, Kazakhistan, North Korea and Mongolia, north west Finlandand Norway; west Estonia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus, in the sea USA and Japan. The seas around the counrty are: In the east; Okhotsk and Japan, North; Black, WhiteBurent, Siberia, Çukçi, Laptav, North West; Baltic Sea, South and South West; Caspian Sea and Black Sea.
Sightseeing
Especially capital Moscow is very important in terms of tourism. Theregion that has been given name of Golden Circle is home for so many historical and religious artifacts. You should join the tours on the Volga River. Also, Baikal Lake, Bolshoi Theatre, Borodino Museum, Cathedral of Christ the Redeemer and Nazım Hikmet cemetery can be seen. For the historical places; Kremlin Palace, Red Aquare and so many museum can be visited.
Night Life
Especially, Tverskaya Street is the heart of the night life. The very colourful night life can be more colourful with the discos and bars in here. Also, for those who want a more elegant night can choose the south of the street. There so many entertainment venues in the Novy Arbat street.
Foods
Vodka which is identified with Russia is very essential.That is why Russia has a special cousine named Honney Pepper Vodka. The countries' cousine is generally traditional and you will like them. Because country is very wide in geography and has too many border neighbours, it is easy to find other countries' traditional marks in the Russian cousine. Italian, American, Ukraianian, Lapon and Armenian food are the most common in Russia. Every region and every city has their own taste.
